Our team

This year’s team:

Marc Le Menestrel is the initiator of the Intergenerational Encounter. He has developed the theme of "dreaming in business" and will contribute actively to the event with his experience and enthusiasm for dreaming and a new business paradigm. Marc is the Director of the Foundation for a New Ethical Business and the initiator of the WeDreamBusiness.Org website. He is Professor for Business at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and Visiting Professor for Ethics at INSEAD (Fountainebleau, France) and holds a PhD in Decision Sciences from INSEAD.

Julian Rode acts as scientific coordinator for the Foundation and is project leader of its "Biodiversity and ethical business" project. He is Research Associate at the Research Chair Antoni Serra Ramoneda (Department of Business Economics, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) and works on sustainable behavior of individual and business actors, in particular related to biodiversity and ecosystem services. Julian holds a PhD in Economics from University Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona).

Mathieu Durrande has extended experience in multinational organization in several countries and various industrial sectors as an international purchasing manager. He developed a deep learning in organization and a high level of enthusiasm for managing people. Mathieu is highly engaged within sustainability as well as positive thinking methodology for change management. He is partner of the NGO eco-union and co-funder of ecodigma.

Past team members:

Katie Beardsley assisted with the organization of the 1st Encounter. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from McGill University in Montreal and is working with the foundation whenever possible in order to explore the world of sustainable business. She has worked on evaluating the quality of environmental education at the university level and is interested in investigating the role of environmental education in the business world.

The project owes much to three University Pompeu Fabra MBA students, Su Jin Seo, Ismael Nunez, and Mika Wheelwright, as well as to their supervisor Antonio Marquez. They have developed this website and made great efforts to start preparing the 1st Encounter within an MBA project in Spring 2009.
